Risks on the Road
Aberdeenshire, Angus, Moray and the Highlands all have a great number of rural roads where the national speed limit applies. Unfortunately there are a high number of serious accidents on these roads. Provisional figures from the Scottish Executive for 2006 show that there were 382 fatal and serious injuries for Northern and Grampian. Frequently passengers are hurt. Most can make a claim for losses against the insurers of the driver. Driver error is the most common cause of accidents - but other factors may play a part.
