Traineeships

The recruitment process for legal trainees to commence in August 2013 will be open on 1st June 2012.
Please note, the closing date for applications this year is Friday 27th July 2012 and this will be strictly adhered to.
We will be recruiting for 4 trainees and will only be accepting applications electronically this year. An application form will be available to download from this page from the opening date for applications or by request from Emma McCall or Diane Watson from 1st June 2012.
We are a medium size Edinburgh firm and trainee seats are available within Litigation, Commercial and Private Client (including Property Services) departments.
A Trainee Solicitor can expect a varied traineeship and will experience work in more than one department but can expect to be in the Litigation department for at least one year of the two year traineeship. We expect all our trainees to obtain a Limited Practising Certificate after their first year. We will pay the cost of this, along with the cost of admission as a Solicitor and the cost of the Professional Competence Course.
We offer 26 days holiday per year of employment. We accept Trainee Applications only between 1 June and 27 July, and only after you have received your degree result.
Please note that due to the large number of applications which we receive each year, we are unable to offer individual feedback to candidates at the application stage.
