More on minimum alcohol pricing
Jim McLean comments as more is revealed regarding the minimum alcohol pricing.
"A minimum unit price law will affect (indirectly) trade between member states (EU Directorate Internal Market and Services) and will be a health measure (EU Directorate General Health and Consumers). It needs to 'proportionate', a question with both a health and a market aspect. Is the claimed benefit to health established and is it achieved with no more disruption than really necessary to the unity of the single market? We shall see."
