Partner Ann Logan accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Medical Negligence Law

Balfour+Manson is delighted to announce that Partner Ann Logan has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Medical Negligence Law.
Ann, who did her traineeship at the firm and was recently assumed Partner, has been specialising in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence Law for over 20 years. She regularly lectures at seminars and conferences most notably to The Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow and at the CLT Personal Injury Conference in Edinburgh. She has also been involved in the book on Birth Trauma by Kim Thomas where she contributed to the chapter ‘Taking action by way of the complaints procedure and litigation process in Scotland’.
Having worked on numerous complex and unusual cases, Ann regularly receives instructions from other solicitors seeking specialised help as well as directly from clients, who appreciate her empathy, expert care and knowledge. She has been involved in a number of multi-million pound settlements in birth trauma cases particularly, but over the years has probably seen cases arising out of almost every part of the body!
Ms Logan said “It is gratifying to be acknowledged by the Law Society of Scotland and my peers in an area of law that I have practiced for many years and about which I am very passionate. It can be a difficult time for patients who have suffered an adverse event and then have to go through the legal system as well and I try to help them through, as best I can.”
Chairman Elaine Motion commented “We are very proud of Ann’s achievements in obtaining this accreditation. Only five other lawyers hold this accreditation in Scotland so this is a real testament to Ann’s knowledge and expertise in the medical negligence field and an affirmation to our clients that work is being handled at the highest level.”
