Balfour + Manson to host free half-day employment seminar

On Tuesday 8th December Balfour + Manson’s employment law specialists will host a free half-day seminar which will provide practical guidance on the most significant employment law developments during the year.
During the last 12 months, employment law does not appear to have been out of the headlines, whether it be negative press with redundancies or positive aspects with equal rights for agency workers.
The event will start with registration and coffee at 9.30am. The presentations will start at 10.00am, finishing at 1.00pm when a buffet lunch will be served.
Topics to be discussed will include:
- Disciplinary and Grievance – the ACAS Code – looking back and forward
- Age discrimination, relating to retirement and redundancy
- The Equality Bill
- Key developments in family friendly areas and benefits during maternity leave/ paternity, adoption and parental leave
- Changes forecast for the year ahead
