After the Diploma in Legal Practice at Glasgow University in 1987 she completed her traineeship with Balfour+Manson LLP in 1989. After a period working in litigation in London and Hong Kong Ann returned to Balfour + Manson in 1994. She has gained extensive experience as a Senior Associate in an outstanding team with unparalleled expertise. Ann’s main focus is pursuing clinical negligence claims, on behalf of individuals, including surgical, GP and dental cases, as well as in related health professions and for cosmetic treatment. She has a wealth of experience in high value catastrophic injury claims, particularly birth trauma, and also conducts many personal injury cases arising out of accidents at work, on the roads and in the air, including recent cases against the Ministry of Defence. |
Ann is accredited as a Senior Litigator of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers), and is dual qualified in English and Scots law.
Ann comments that she is honoured to have been personally ranked again this year in Chambers UK 2012 and also the Legal 500 as she deems it a privilege to assist those who have suffered an injury through no fault of their own to obtain fair recompense.
