
Joanna graduated from Aberdeen University with LLB (Hons) in 1997. She stayed in Aberdeen for a further year to obtain her Diploma in Legal Practice. Following a traineeship in Edinburgh, Joanna qualified as a solicitor in 2000. She joined Balfour+Manson LLP as an assistant in 2003 and was appointed an Associate in 2004.
More informationJoanna specialises in pursuer personal injury and medical negligence cases. Her caseload is mainly made up of claims involving accidents at work, road traffic accidents and medical negligence. She has pursued a number of cases for members of the armed forces against the Ministry of Defence. She also has experience of defender reparation and commercial actions. The majority of Joanna's cases are pursued in the Court of Session. She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
