Specialising in Litigation for 20 over years, David deals with personal injury claims acting for pursuers, medical negligence claims, professional negligence claims and commercial litigation.

David has acted in many high profile and high value claims including acting on behalf of Margaret-Ann Reynard who developed crippling arthritis after contracting salmonella from a Chinese meal. She was awarded £1.2 million. David also acted for a number of parties injured in the Stockline explosion in Glasgow.
David has successfully recovered £2.75 million in damages for a child with Cerebral Palsy. Recently he was lead partner in a complex stress at work case which settled for £240,000 shortly before a 4 week trial. He also recently concluded a significant case involving a school boy injured by a paintbrush who will secure substantial damages as a result. He is currently pursuing a number of high value claims for clients who have suffered catastrophic injury in accidents on the roads and at work.
Together with Pamela Loudon, David manages a team of associates and solicitors in the 65-strong Litigation department, encouraging them to get involved in all aspects of running a case. Staff praise his mentoring skills.
