
Gordon Deane joined the firm’s Litigation department as a Partner in April 2010. Being dual qualified, he has an extensive range of dispute resolution experience acquired both in Scotland and England.

Property Litigation – Gordon advised the successful Claimants in the widely-reported case of Dominion Corporate Trustees v Debenhams Properties.
Oil & Gas – Gordon is currently advising the Liquidator of a Norwegian oil company in connection with Court of Session proceedings arising out a lease of an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. The total claim is in excess of USD 20 million. Our client recently received a substantial interim payment.
Intellectual Property – Gordon has advised clients across a wide range of sectors on infringement of trademarks, patents and copyright and passing off.
Professional Negligence – Gordon has been involved in a number of disputes involving claims against professionals, including solicitors, surveyors and accountants.
Interest Rate Swap Mis-selling – Gordon is involved with QA Legal, an association of legal and financial services professionals advising clients on financial claims against banks for mis-sold interest rate swaps and other financial mis-selling. Gordon has a particular interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has represented a number of clients from a wide range of industries in Mediations both north and south of the border.
