
Robert is a Partner in the Employment Law Team and heads up both the contentious and commercial sides of the department. He has advised clients on complex litigation arising out of the employment relationship, including claims dealing with TUPE, discrimination and redundancy. He also advises commercial organisations and SME’s on business reorganisation, redundancy and implementation of key human resources policy.
More informationInitially from a litigation background, Robert uses his strong advocacy skills to obtain the best possible outcome for his clients at Court or Tribunal. He is qualified Solicitor Advocate with extended rights of audience in the Court of Session, United Kingdom and the Supreme Court and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, allowing a “start to finish” service for clients which ensures continuity and saves expense.
Robert is also a member of the firm’s cross department Charity and Commercial and Corporate teams where he provides employment expertise to supplement the existing advice. He has particular expertise in finding a solution for clients in the charity and not-for-profit sector when faced with employment issues.
Robert is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and has a particular interest in discrimination issues. The Employment Team is now ranked in the Legal 500 and deals with all aspects of Employment Law.
