
Lisa joined Balfour+Manson LLP in August 2011 as a newly qualified solicitor in our Employment Team. Lisa holds an MA in law from the University of Cambridge, having graduated from Clare College in 2006.
More informationOn returning to Scotland, she became the top graduate obtaining the two-year LLB degree from the University of Glasgow in 2008. Her academic achievements were similarly recognised when she was acknowledged as the top student gaining the Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh in 2009.
Beginning her legal career at a large commercial firm in Edinburgh, Lisa spent one year of her traineeship working in an Employment department gaining experience of a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Lisa has a keen interest in discrimination issues, family friendly rights and providing advice both on managing the dismissal process and representing clients in unfair dismissal claims. She also tutors on the Employment Law Ordinary Course at the University of Edinburgh.
Having now qualified as a solicitor in Scotland, Lisa intends to use her law degree from the University of Cambridge to further her professional qualifications and become dual qualified by also gaining admission as a solicitor in England and Wales.
