If you are interested in becoming part of the team here at Balfour + Manson you can prepare for admission in 2009 by following the procedure laid out below.
We will recruit four legal trainees to commence in August 2009. Applications will be invited from 1 June 2008 with a closing date for applications of 1 August 2008. We are a large Edinburgh firm with Litigation, Commercial and Private Client (including Property Services) Departments.
Trainees can expect a varied traineeship and will experience work in more than one department but can expect to be in the Litigation Department for at least one year of the two year traineeship. We pay above the Law Society of Scotland recommended rate for Trainees and we expect all our trainees to obtain a Limited Practising Certificate after their first year. We will pay the costs of this, along with the costs for admission as a Solicitor and the costs of the Professional Competence Course.
