I grew up in Dundee and completed the undergraduate LLB and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow. I joined Balfour+Manson in August as a trainee solicitor.
During my fourth year at Glasgow I assumed the role of President of the Glasgow University International Law Society. The society was only in its second year of formation therefore I worked to develop and expand the society’s aims and objectives and create new links with the law school to facilitate the university’s ‘GoGlobal’ programme.
Outside of work, I dedicate much of my time to Scottish youth charity ‘The SSC’. I have been involved in the organisation since 2008 and last October I joined the management committee. I also enjoy using my free time to exercise, cook and my one true love is skiing.
I am currently based in the firm’s Private Client department. My daily tasks include drafting wills and powers of attorney; assisting with guardianship applications and the administration of trusts, and assisting our Client Welfare team with their work.
I am grateful for the opportunity to get involved with such important work that will affect the day to day lives of many of the firm’s clients.
