I joined Balfour+Manson in 1997 and have worked in dispute resolution since qualifying as a solicitor in 1998. I became a partner in 2005. I am also qualified as a solicitor advocate, which gives me extended rights of audience to appear in the Court of Session and the United Kingdom Supreme Court. Between 2008 and 2018 I was the firm’s Client Relations Partner.
Always willing and able to address the hard issues.

I work in dispute resolution and litigation, including administrative and public law, commercial litigation and personal injury cases. I act in both Court of Session and Sheriff Court actions, as well as alternative methods of dispute resolution including mediation.
Following the 2015 UK Parliamentary Election result, I acted for the petitioners in the first Election Court case in Scotland for half a century.
I also practise extensively in professional discipline and regulation, for both individuals and regulatory bodies, including advising on judicial review proceedings and appeals, as well as advising on and appearing at hearings before professional disciplinary bodies.
