I am originally from East Yorkshire but crossed the Border in the mid 1990s to study law at Edinburgh University. I remained in the city after completing my studies spending three years in Property Sales at GW Tait & Sons, Leith before joining Balfour+Manson as a trainee in the merger of 2004.
With over 10 years experience in residential property conveyancing, I understand that for many clients buying their home is one of the most important and stressful periods in their lives. I strive to deliver excellent service and make this process as simple and stress free as possible.
I am highly experienced in all aspects of conveyancing and property law, and in particular all types of purchases and sales including shared ownership and equity, LIFT and similar schemes, newbuild, part exchange and retirement.
I work closely with our litigation teams in dealing with matrimonial conveyancing and giving advice in relation to title and boundary issues.
I regularly attend the ESPC as a Duty Solicitor providing free advice and also at their information evenings such as the retirement living and first time buyer events. I was also invited to speak at an ESPC buy to let seminar in 2014.
