Gordon Deane advised a land owner in North East England in a dispute with National Grid. The dispute centred upon the interpretation of a Deed of Grant whereby National Grid were entitled to carry out renewal and repair works to electricity pylons on our client's land.
There was a dispute as to whether a major upgrade of the pylons was permitted under the Deed. We notified National Grid of our client’s claim and then embarked upon negotiations on behalf of our client to resolve the dispute.
The negotiations were successfully concluded and a new Deed was agreed between the parties.
