Michaela Guthrie has been appointed to Senior Associate by Balfour+Manson – the firm’s fourth promotion already in 2021.
The promotion of Michaela – who joined the firm in January 2014 and started her traineeship in August that year takes effect from today [Monday 1st February].
She works as part of the Balfour+Manson team which deals with clinical negligence matters and high-value personal injury work.
“Michaela has developed significant experience and skill in this complex area and her promotion to Senior Associate is the natural next step,” said Ann Logan, who heads up the team and is also a member of the firm’s senior management team. “We all know she will continue to develop further, and that she is a valuable asset to the future of Balfour+Manson.
The firm has already announced three other promotions this year.
Martin Walker (litigation) and Graeme Thomson (private client) became Partners on 1st January 2021, while James Hyams was promoted to Associate in the private client team in January.
