About Gillian

I have worked in the legal sector for over 20 years and have experience of a number of different financial roles within the framework of a legal firm, including head cashier, payroll manager, tax assistant and executry accountant.  I have always enjoyed working with figures and using accounting techniques for problem solving and presenting useful financial information for my colleagues in the legal and tax teams when they require accounting input.

Specialist area

My main focus now is trust and charity accounting. I undertake accounting and cash management work for a large number of trusts and charities of many different shapes and sizes.  Trustees have a legal duty to keep accounts and my aim is always to prepare accounts which are accurate, informative and well presented so that the trustees can rely on the information provided to show them how the trust is being operated and to highlight significant issues for consideration or which require decisions.
