I joined Balfour+Manson in August 2015 after completing the Accelerated LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh. Prior to this, I obtained an M.A. (Honours) in Economic and Social History from the University of Glasgow and was the Head of Humanities in a large international school in the United Arab Emirates before pursuing a career in law.
I specialise in Litigation and Professional Discipline and Regulation. I act for a variety of registrants referred to their various professional regulators for a broad range of disciplinary and regulatory matters. In addition to this I represent members in associated criminal complaints and referrals to Disclosure Scotland. I also specialise in Fatal Accident Inquiries and have most recently been instructed in the Clutha and Sumburgh FAIs. I also represent families following the death of a family member in Scotland.
I undertake a wide range of litigation cases acting on behalf of both Pursuer and Defender clients in the Sheriff Courts, the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court (ASPIC), the Sheriff Appeal Court and the Court of Session.
