Iona Campbell

Originally from Glasgow, I moved to Aberdeen to study law and completed my undergraduate and Diploma in Legal Practice at Aberdeen University. I joined Balfour+Manson in 2017 as an Administration Assistant whilst completing my Diploma and then started my traineeship in August 2018. I now a solicitor in the Personal Injury and Medical Negligence team in the Aberdeen office.

I act exclusively for those who have been injured through no fault of their own. I have been involved in a wide range of different cases, from straightforward road traffic accident claims to complex medical negligence cases. I work alongside Julie Clark-Spence and Diana Mackenzie.

I thoroughly enjoy the client centred approach that this area of law requires, ensuring that each individual case is tailored to the client.  My clients are often coming to me at a time when they are at their most vulnerable and I do my best to put them at ease from the initial point of contact through to securing the correct result for them. No two clients are the same and so I find it important to take the time to listen to my client and understand how the accident and their injuries impact them.

The best thing about my job is that every day is completely different and I get to work for people and make a difference to their life.

I also volunteer and run legal clinics for the Citizens Advice Bureau. This allows me to assist and advise on a wide variety of areas of law, from Family to Property and everything in between.

When I am not at work, I enjoy playing tennis and going to the gym. I also enjoy meeting up with family and friends as much as possible.
