Alannah Jones
Associate
I have been dealing with personal injury cases for over 10 years. I have experience in representing clients in a variety of cases at local sheriff courts, ASPIC and the Court of Session. I have also secured criminal injuries compensation for those injured as a result of criminal offences.
I joined Balfour+Manson in January 2023 with my area of specialism being medical negligence but also continuing my practice in personal injury. I deal with a wide variety of matters from road traffic accidents, to GP negligence, to catastrophic injury cases.
I am accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as being a specialist in the field of personal injury and I also supervise students at the University of Edinburgh Free Legal Advice Clinic.
I take pride in being able to provide understandable, compassionate and thorough legal advice to my clients. No two cases are the same and I enjoy the challenge of applying my skills and knowledge to a variety of complex cases. But the best thing about my job is reaching a favourable outcome for a client, knowing that I have played some part in easing the burden for what has been an incredibly difficult time in the life of a client.
When I’m not at work you will find me with my young family exploring everything Scotland has to offer – beaches, hills, woods, parks, museums, cafés and when we have a babysitter, nice restaurants! I also enjoy running and try to complete 5k a week.
