Greg Lawson

After completing my traineeship in 2016, I qualified as a solicitor, progressing through the ranks at some of the city’s most established firms, before joining Balfour+Manson LLP in 2023.

I studied at the University of Aberdeen, completing my LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice, and following admission as a solicitor, have now built up an extensive knowledge and specialism in Private Client matters.

As an experienced Private Client solicitor, I deal with a variety of matters within the area. I advise clients in relation to Wills, Trusts, Executries, including high value and complex taxable estates, Powers of Attorney, and succession planning. In 2022, I was accredited as a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioner which is widely acknowledged as the quality mark within the sector.

Having grown up and now having worked within the North East for a number of years, I am also available to assist clients with advice regarding residential property purchases and sales.

The best part of my job is meeting so many clients from a huge variety of backgrounds, and having the opportunity to give them the best possible advice. A lot of our clients are going through some of their toughest of times or making provisions for later in life, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to guide them through the different processes.

When I am not at work I enjoy travelling with my wife, socialising with family and friends, and being involved in the world of horse racing ownership as well as numerous other sporting hobbies (albeit a much better spectator than participant!).
