Findlay Glynn

Solicitor

I grew up in North Berwick before moving to Glasgow to undertake a law degree at the University of Glasgow, graduating in 2017. I then moved to Budapest to complete a Masters degree, before returning to the University of Glasgow for my Diploma in Legal Practice.

I started my two-year traineeship with Balfour+Manson in January 2021. During my traineeship, I worked in our Employment, Property, and Public Law, and Private Client Departments. In January 2023, I qualified as a solicitor into our Private Client team.

I work in the Private Client team and provide advice to clients on a variety of issues. I advise clients on the drafting of Wills; the granting and operation of Powers of Attorney; applications for Guardianship orders; and the administration of estates. The best thing about my job is being able to provide a helping hand to clients through difficult times, and assist them in alleviating the stress that can come when administering an estate, or putting testamentary provisions in place.

Personal information

When I am not at work, you will find me either playing football or golf, or watching rugby at various venues around Edinburgh. I also enjoy baking bread, cakes and pastries, much to the detriment of my flatmates’ (and on occasion my colleagues’) waistlines.
