Ken Robertson

I completed my University education and legal traineeship in Aberdeen before moving to Edinburgh and indeed Balfour+Manson in 1986. I became a partner in 1987 as the firm entered its centenary year.

While initially specialising during my earlier career in property work, my interests and professional skills quickly widened to include a broader range of legal work in areas which are likely to be of concern to the average private individual and their wider family at some stage during their progression through life.

Too often people overlook the need to keep their legal affairs in order with often costly and sometimes catastrophic consequences for them and their families. I endeavour to establish an ongoing relationship with my clients to ensure that they are at all times best positioned to deal with some of the curved balls that life may throw.

I am approachable, straight talking and able to quickly appreciate a client’s needs.

Apart from expertise in the Scottish property market I specialise in providing advice on Wills, Powers of Attorney and Executries.

I am also involved in the field of Attorney Administration for clients where they or their family are unable to directly manage their affairs. I am supported in this field by an able team providing necessary financial and welfare/care/practical support when required.

On the Executry side the firm’s aim is always to endeavour to process the administration of an estate as quickly and efficiently as possible utilising our experienced team of 4 legal executives.

I am also the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

When I’m not at work you will find me in the garden.
