Stephanie Zak

Partner & Head of Commercial Property

I am an experienced property lawyer and Partner working in the Commercial Property team here at Balfour+Manson.

Qualifying as a Solicitor in 2010, I have enjoyed a varied career in commercial law, property law and associated practice and I can assist clients with all aspects of commercial property work.

Having worked in private practice and in-house with major banks, such as Lloyds, Clydesdale and Tesco, I understand the importance of knowing my clients well, what drives their businesses and what is important to them. The legal solution that is right for one is not right for all and so my clients can expect to have advice specially tailored for their particular circumstances, wants and needs. I always strive to deliver the type of service that works best for you.

I can help with Commercial leasing and associated matters; Acquisitions and disposals; Development work; Property security and finance; and General property related advice.

I can also assist with most types of commercial property (from retail, office space, industrial, forestry to hospitality and leisure) located anywhere in Scotland.

My experience extends to a range of non-property related matters including banking, funds and consumer regulation.

I am a people person. I enjoy building relationships with existing clients and also thrive on meeting new people. I work with all types of clients: from individuals to companies, small businesses to multi-nationals and I would be delighted to hear from you to assess how we can assist you. I have many contacts, so if you require any legal assistance at all, please do get in touch. If I am unable to help, I will strive to find you someone who can.

When I am not at work you will find me enjoying time with family and friends and out walking Border Terrier pup, Bailey. In between I will be outside on a run, in the gym lifting weights or testing my fitness in a functional fitness class – training mostly to keep up with my two young and very energetic sons! A theatre enthusiast – I am a member of a local theatre group who kindly let me perform with them on occasion when life and work commitments permit.
