Olivia Dent

I am from a small town in Northumberland and travelled up to Scotland to complete my Scots Law LLB (Hons) degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.

I have previous experience working in legal offices across Scotland and England, working in various different legal departments. 

I completed my first seat within the Medical Negligence and Personal Injury department which I thoroughly enjoyed. I then joined the Dispute Resolution and Debt Recovery team, which was a brilliant new challenge for me, exploring different disputes of varying complexities. Having completed this seat in January 2024, I have now joined the Private Client team, dealing specifically with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Executries and Trusts. I have been hugely grateful to work alongside fantastic teams throughout my traineeship and look forward what my final seat in July 2024 has to offer.
 
The best thing about my job is being able to engage with our clients.  I am a people-orientated individual and pride myself in my ability to build positive relationships. This has been particularly beneficial during as I work with a variety of people both private individuals and individuals involved in larger business entities. This has given me exposure to individuals from all walks of life. 

When I am not at work I enjoy travelling, attending live music concerts and theatre shows.
