Balfour+Manson’s Michaela Guthrie gains Law Society medical negligence accreditation

Legal firm Balfour + Manson has further strengthened its top-tier medical negligence team with senior associate Michaela Guthrie joining Ann Logan, Litigation Partner, as a Law Society accredited practitioner in medical negligence law.

Michaela initially joined Balfour+Manson as a trainee in 2014, spending the final year of her traineeship working closely with Ann Logan. She has specialised in medical negligence and personal injury work since her qualification in 2016, running cases in both the Court of Session and the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court.

She has considerable experience in complex and high-value cases involving birth injuries sustained by both mother and child, acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, delay in diagnosis and surgical negligence. She has successfully settled cases involving failures to obtain informed consent.

The medical negligence team have been ranked in the top band for both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners for over fifteen years, a testament to their leading expertise in the industry.
