Libby Fleming

I joined Balfour+Manson LLP in April 2015 as a Legal Secretary supporting the Private Client, Property, and Commercial Departments. In May 2024, at the age of 53, I proudly qualified as a Paralegal in Wills, Trusts, and Executries under Scots Law.

Following my qualification, I became part of the Private Client Power of Attorney Operations Team, where I primarily support clients for whom our trustee company, Balfour & Manson Trustees, acts as their financial attorney. My responsibilities include preparing financial reports, managing clients’ day-to-day expenses, and overseeing investment administration.

I am also the first point of contact for all enquiries related to private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney, guardianships, trusts, and executries. I enjoy being that initial connection for clients, building rapport, and helping them feel at ease.

The most rewarding part of my job is ensuring each client’s unique needs are met with care, professionalism, and reassurance. It’s important to me that they feel supported and that the service they receive genuinely enhances their quality of life.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending most of my free time with my three daughters and travelling, finding new places to explore!
