Balfour+Manson promotes two senior associates to partner

Balfour+Manson has promoted two of its senior associate solicitors from its Property and Private Client teams in Aberdeen to Partner, effective from 1 April 2024.  

The two new Partners are Amy McKay and Greg Lawson.

Amy, joined Balfour+Manson in 2017 as an Associate specialising in property law, having previously worked for three other law firms in Aberdeen. A graduate from the University of Aberdeen, Amy initially trained in Peterhead.

She has amassed over 20 years’ experience in property law across the north-east. Amy’s local knowledge and thorough understanding of property law make her real asset to the firm.

Greg Lawson also qualified at the University of Aberdeen in 2016 and worked his way through the ranks at other Aberdeen law firms before joining Balfour+Manson in 2023. Greg has built an extensive knowledge and specialism in private client matters, advising on areas such as Wills, Trusts, Executries, including high value and complex taxable estates, Powers of Attorney, and succession planning.

Both Amy and Greg are accredited by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a widely acknowledged quality benchmark within the sector.
